Suzhou Omay Optical Materials Co., Ltd., founded in 2003, is a national high-tech enterprise dedicated to the integrated R&D, manufacturing, sales and service of PC, PMMA and PO series films, multilayer high-function films and sheets. The company has a national-level postdoctoral workstation, has obtained multiple national invention patents, and led the formulation of national standards for PC films and sheets.

Omay focuses on the research and development of special polymer film products required by high-end markets at home and abroad; they are mainly used in EVs, energy storage systems, integrated circuits, photosensitive materials, optoelectronics, flat panel displays, smartphones, medical equipment, high-speed rail and aviation, automotive parts, LED lighting, security anti-counterfeiting, flexible packaging of power batteries, and image printing and other fields.

Development History

2003

The company was founded at 158-30 Huashan Road, Suzhou High-tech District,
and was not only the first domestic supplier of transparent PC film, but also helped China become the fourth country in the world, after the United States, Germany and Japan, to master this technology.

2006

Recognized by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology as a Jiangsu High-tech Enterprise.

2011

Successfully developed and mass-produced optical-grade polycarbonate (PC) sheets.

2014

Established a national-level postdoctoral workstation;
Phase I of the plant at No. 1000 Xiangjiang Road completed and put into production.

2018

PC/PMMA composite panels achieved mass production and successfully entered the 5G smartphone industry.

2020

Flame-retardant insulating PC film successfully entered the power lithium battery industry and is now supplied in volume to major lithium battery manufacturers.

2023

Phase II plant at No. 1000 Xiangjiang Road completed;
PO project entered mass production;
Completion of the R&D center at No. 158-30 Huashan Road;
Photonic crystal project initiated.
